Abstract:

The Mid-Cretaceos tectonic structure of Southwest Bulgaria consists of the paraautochthonous Strouma Superunit and the allochthonous Morava Superunit. Five sections represent excellent exposures of unique tectonic features. They should be protected by the State, and conserved in a manner suitable for preservation as well as for educational and scientific purposes.
