Morphogenetical transition between the genera Neuropteris (Brongniart) and Reticulopteris Gothan in Dobrudža Coal basin

Abstract: 

Neuropteris obliqua (Brongniart), N. semireticulata Josten and Reticulopteris nsteri (Eichwald) from Dobrudia Coal Basin are described and illustrated. The transition from feather veining (genus Neuropteris) to a reticulated one (genus Reticulopteris) occurred here at the beginning of WestphalianC. A time correlation of these transitions and of the appearance-disappearance events of the species, discussed above, in the basins where they have been established to coexist – Ruhr, Nord et Pas-de-Calais. Campigne, Charlesle-Roi and Dobrudza - is made.
